The 9/11 attacks dramatically altered the nation’s response to threats from terrorism. One of the most significant changes was the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. Nearly a decade after the attacks, what lessons have we learned from our efforts? How does Osama bin Laden’s death alter the terrain? And what can we expect in the next decade?
