Just one year after Citizens United, the Supreme Court is poised to issue a decision that could make it harder for ordinary citizens to compete with big money in our democracy. In McComish v. Bennett, the high court will rule for the first time in three decades on the constitutionality of public campaign financing.  As we await the decision, please join us for a conversation that examines what is next for the First Amendment, how to advance a new jurisprudence that combats the rise of unfettered money in politics, and how to advance a vision of the Constitution as a charter for a vibrant, participatory democracy.

All of the presenters are contributors to the recently published book, Money, Politics and the Constitution: Beyond Citizens United, sponsored by The Century Foundation and the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law

Space is limited so please RSVP to Laurie Ahlrich at ahlrich@tcf.org or 212/452-7722.
