The Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision in Citizens United v. FEC upended the political landscape and allowed unlimited corporate and union spending in elections. At our luncheon, Jeffrey Clements will discuss his new book, “Corporations Are Not People,” the far-reaching implications of the radical ruling, and proposed solutions, such as a constitutional amendment, to restore the primacy of people in our democracy. Jeffrey D. Clements is also the co-founder of Free Speech for People, a nonpartisan campaign that works to overturn Citizens United and pass the People’s Rights Amendment.
