Voter Registration Modernization

• S.B. 208: This bill would enact universal voter registration (Voter Registration Modernization). 

Automated Registration

• H.B. 48 and S.B. 1111: This bill would register to vote all applicants for driver's licenses or state identification cards, if determined to be eligible.

Election Day Registration  

• H.B. 343 and S.B. 665: A bill in the legislature would establish Election Day registration.

Online Registration

• H.B. 545: This bill would require the State's chief election officer to create and implement an electronic voter registration system by January 1, 2012. Under this bill, anyone with a Hawaii ID or driver's license would be able to register to vote on the website of the office of elections.
