New York City Day Labor Coalotion

Across the country, job centers for day laborers have emerged as a best practice model for improving working conditions, providing education and training, and facilitating community relations. Led by the Latin American Workers Project, the New York City Day Labor Coalition is advocating for the creation of several pilot job centers, administered by community groups with city funding. The Brennan Center is a member of this coalition and has testified before the New York City Council and the New York State Assembly on its behalf.
