Probono.net announces the launching of probono.net/mn, a website providing resources for pro bono and legal services attorneys in Minnesota. Resources include a calendar of events of interest to the public interest law community in Minnesota, an eviction defense manual, summaries of pro bono cases needing legal counsel in family law, housing, government benefits, and other categories, and more. The site also posts a list of the winners of LSC-funded Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota’s Advocacy Achievement Awards. Probono.net is a website that aims to link private, legal services, public interest, and academic public interest lawyers using information technology. In addition to the Minnesota site, Probono.net features a New York City regional site, and plans to include sites for the San Francisco (Ca.) Bay Area and Rochester, N.Y. this fall.
