Justices TV Ad a Hard Hitter

Article reports that a race between Georgia incumbent Supreme Court Justice Carol Hunstein and former Bush administration lawyer Mike Wiggins has become very personal. Last week Justice Hunsteins campaign began running a television ad that said that Mr. Wiggins was sued by his own mother for taking her money. He sued his only sister. She said he threatened to kill her while she was eight months pregnant. Mr. Wiggins campaign released a statement shortly thereafter calling the ad the most cruel, false and personal attack aired in Georgia this campaign cycle. Justice Hunstein is not the only one who has gone negative though. An independent committee that supports Mr. Wiggins is running a television ad calling the justice a liberal who substituted her preferences on capital punishment for those who made the law.
