Article reports that a 2008 analysis by Richard Lazarus, a Georgetown University law professor, found that "repeat performers" who regularly argue before the U.S. Supreme Court "are part of an emerging elite private-sector group of lawyers who dominate advocacy at the court." Article reports that "[m]any lawyers with thriving practices before the court have connections to the justices because of the way they came up in the profession."
