Chamber backs recusal if conflict faces judge

Article reports that in a recently issued report, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) said that Louisiana "needs to adopt a law that would require judges to recuse themselves in cases where conflicts of interest arise." Saying that the recusal law would "further improve the state's national ethics rankings," BRAC President Adam Knapp said that "if we want to be moving ourselves forward ... the conflict of interest laws on judicial recusal is something not yet touched on."
