The American Bar Association filed an amicus brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to accept review of Beer v. United States, brought by a group of current and former judges who charge that Congress’ failure to approve cost-of-living adjustments violates the constitutional guarantee of undiminished compensation for federal judges.
