In a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, six good government groups urged him to support efforts to close the “LLC Loophole,” which allows large donors to circumvent contribution limits and disclosure requirements put in place to protect election integrity. The Brennan Center and Emery Celli Brinkerhoff & Abady LLP sent a letter to the New York Board of Elections last week urging it to take action to close the loophole.
